Deb Filotto: For those of you who haven’t shopped with me, let me introduce myself. I opened my shop over a year ago but have been a collector and lover of fine vintage goods all my life. My 87 yr old mother Evelyn shared her love of antiques with me throughout my life. Most of all she enjoyed the hunt for unusual quality items, as do I.
I am married to a wonderful supportive man and have 2 beautiful children (both adults), Grandmother to two little boys. My youngest son is a senior in college so I thought what better time to do this! I live in Illinois but four years ago started “snow birding” in FL. I am constantly “big game hunting” for vintage treasures, Let me share with you that Florida is a fertile hunting ground. So of course I keep bringing home all these wonderful vintage items. Since it’s impossible to keep every treasure, I decided to open a vintage Etsy shop. This allows me to share the quality pieces I find with fellow vintage lovers (and not become a hoarder). I especially love beautiful tea cups, unusual home decor and quality vintage apparel.
I welcome questions, conversations and feedback! I treasure the relationships I've formed on Etsy and appreciate those who are following my shop on Etsy, FB, Instagram or at www.EvelynsAtticShop.com
I’m always adding new inventory! I will refund excess shipping charges on combined orders if the cost is less than the checkout amount plus packaging costs.
Janet Madrigal: I am a personal contents appraiser and accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers. Debbie was a client who then became a friend and collaborater in all things vintage. It was like finding a treasure when we met! She has a "sixth sense" of finding certain items such as tea cups and wonderfully beautiful items and I love needlepoint, artwork and pottery. We both bring our talents to the shop.
Just a little about me- I have been married to my college sweetheart and we have two boys who are in their early 20's. Michael, age 24 loves to travel internationally and spent a semester abroad his last semester at University of Illinois. He is currently working at Doka International and getting his Masters in Business Analytics. Matthew, aged 21 is currently following in his brothers footsteps at University of Illinois as well. I love to visit him and we go "antiquing" and to estate sales when he comes home. I love animals and my house is filled with my boys friends and my kitchen is always open!
I visit my Mom often in Florida in the winter and we have our favorite places to find vintage pieces for our shop.
