Franklin McMahon (1921-2012) was an artist and a journalist whose work took him around the world for more than 50 years. During his travels he often captured the essence of the city or country he was visiting through his artwork. His original pieces sell between $500 -$5000. each and are highly collectible pieces. In the 1960’s he was commissioned by Continental Bank to record his graphic impressions of Asia and The Pacific as the bank expanded its worldwide presence. The 7 pieces of artwork that he produced during that commission were released in a limited portfolio entitled: Paintings of Asia & The Pacific. A Limited Edition by Chicago Artist Franklin McMahon-prepared by Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust of Chicago. These are not original paintings but rather a part of that limited edition. Each is printed on high quality, heavy watercolor type paper and have been carefully stored to maintain their original color and condition. I have the complete original set and its original folder but I am selling each piece individually. If you are interested in the complete set, please contact me via conversation to make an offer.
